We go to the forest at least once a week, often twice or three times in a week. If we could, we’d be there every day. One of the best things about Portland is that you don’t have to drive too far to get somewhere foresty.
Most of the time we just walk and talk about what we see, but sometimes I’ll make a quick scavenger hunt for us to do along the trail. It gives us a beginning and end, and a focus on the walk.
I made this scavenger hunt for you to print and use on your own forest walks! It would be cool to color or paint them, and then laminate and use them again and again. I made it with our Pacific Northwest summer forests in mind, but I think it might be applicable to a few different ecosystems.
Please don’t use this for commercial use! It’s just for fun!
